We may have had a hella storm three nights ago, but there was very little damage in the garden. Except we now have a few banana trees that are calling themselves by the same name: Eileen. Unfortunately one of them is a Val – Val Down-Badly.
I had not planned to take any bananas off the trees for a while, as they are still fattening up. In fact I sometimes leave them there through winter and crop them mid-spring, but damned if I was gonna leaave nanas to rot when Val fell. So I wound up with a bunch of premature nanas. As their Mum is deceased, does that make them Cæsarian? Or are they Julian nanas?
